Intro to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Webinar Series

This series was researched, created, and facilitated by Jordyn. This series won a General Motors Internal award for advancing inclusivity within the organization two consecutive years in a row, in 2020 and 2021.

Session 1: Addressing Biases

  • The first session establishes a foundation and discusses what Diversity & Inclusion really is. It also explains how to recognize, address, and overcome biases.

Session 2: Addressing Discomfort

  • This session focuses on how we address discomfort: within ourselves and with others.

Session 3: What is Privilege

  • This session will walk us through what privilege really is. What does it mean to have privilege, what privileges do we each posses, and how do they shape our perception of the world?

Session 4: Microaggressions

  • This session will discuss what microaggressions are, how to recognize them, and the impact they have on well being.

Session 5: Mindfulness

  • This is the last session in the series! It introduces mindfulness and how we can each practice it. It will also combine all that we’ve learned so far and discuss initiating diverse and inclusive dialogue
